Head of the Department

Dr. Kishor B. Porate, B.E. (Electrical Engg.) and M.E. (Electrical Power System ) from Amravati University in 1988 and 2005 respectively. He did his Ph.D from RTM Nagpur University in May 2014. He has about 32 years of teaching experience. He has published more than 65 papers in reputed refereed international journals and conferences. He was Board of studies member in Electrical Engineering, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. He has been a Subject expert in university constituted selection committee for various Engineering colleges. He was a member of local enquiry committee of Nagpur University. He has delivered expert lectures in various engineering colleges in an around Nagpur. He had Invited as Session Chair in IEEE TENCON 2009 during Technical Program " Generation, Transmission and Distribution II "organized by IEEE Region 10, at Singapore scheduled on 23-26th Nov. 2009.

He has attended many national and international conferences in the capacity of session chair. He is a member of various professional bodies like Institution of Engineers (India), ISTE etc. Presently he is Professor and Head, Department of Electrical Engineering (E & P) of Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur.
