The Department of Electrical Engineering (Electronics & Power) was established in 1995 with intake capacity 60 students. The Department has then seen tremendous growth in all aspects. The in-take capacity of the department has been increased to 120 from year 2007. The UG course has been accredited by NBA. Department also runs PG course (M. Tech in Industrial Drives and Control) with intake of 18 students and center for research since 2013. The department has well equipped laboratories with modern and sophisticated equipments and has sanctioned grant from AICTE under MODROB.

Electrical Department has very vibrant student’s forum (EESF) which organizes co-curricular and extracurricular activities for bringing out the hidden talents of students.

Dr. Mrs. S. P. Muley is leading the department.

Students should be able to understand the knowledge of Basic Sciences and Social Science in general and Electrical Engineering  in particular so as to impart the necessary skills to analyze and synthesize Electrical systems, algorithms, complex  apparatus and solve the problems encountered in related fields.

Students should be able to Integrate academic knowledge acquired during the  program with field practice for the development of the  Engineering profession in industry and/or government  organizations.

Students should be able to work in different work environment through communication skills as  members or leaders in multi-disclinary teams and as  Engineering Professional in the context of Social Values and Professional ethics.

Students should be able to engage in lifelong learning to maintain and enhance professional skills. Provide sufficient breadth and depth for successful subsequent graduate study, post-graduate study or lifelong learning programs and take advantage of any new learning opportunities in the area of their fields.

Program Specific Outcomes

  1. Ability to design, construct and analyze Electrical systems.

  1. Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an Electrical engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering   problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and Electrical engineering sciences.
  3. Design solutions for complex Electrical engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the Electrical Engineering information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Electrical engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Electrical engineering practice.
  7. Understand the impact of the professional Electrical engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Apply ethical principles and commit  to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Electrical engineering practice.
